We are coffee lovers that care about making an impact in our community. Crown Brew utilizes coffee as a catalyst to build community and bring positive change to our region. We believe in being authentic in our passion and products and going with our hearts over the industry. Our creativity fuels our actions and we are always working on new and exciting ways to create products and experiences. Building a community takes priority over building business and we always try to be intentional in our hospitality, service, and in how we use our space. Without that conviction, we are just another place to grab a coffee. Above all else, we always work to empower and equip our team and our community to grow and be fruitful in their lives and legacy.

Crown Brew is a “craft coffee” company. This means we use premium coffees, teas, and products with intentional and unique brewing methods and recipes. We may do things differently than you have seen before. Our café is an awesome way to get acquainted with different styles and methods of brewing coffee and tea. We love to answer questions and show off different techniques to brew it better. Our staff is always ready to host you and let you see, smell, feel, and taste the difference in our products. We have a mix of traditional, manual brewing methods, and signature recipes and techniques that craft an exciting experience with so many new things to try!

Crown Brew was born with the belief that coffee could be a catalyst for building community and fueling positive impact regionally. For years, our founders traveled nationally and globally doing nonprofit projects involving human trafficking, education, agriculture, creative arts, and medical outreach. While watching hope spring forth and lives change, we realized a need for sustainability. No matter what country or continent we worked in, we realized there was a common thread of coffee woven through the fabric of the community. Around the world, coffee has become a basis of community.

In 2016, Crown Brew was launched with the purpose of using intentional brewing methods and exceptional coffees as a way to tell a story and build a community. In 2017, we launched the first “Craft Coffee” shop in our region. Our unique approach to coffee and business has opened the doors to build the most beautiful community. From live music, supporting local art, to regional events, business partnerships, special occasions, and everyday coffee, Crown Brew has crafted a multigenerational and multicultural family of patrons that love to celebrate what is good and life-giving.

In our few years of being open, we have been blessed to win almost a dozen awards and accolades including, “Best of the Midwest” by Midwest Living Magazine, “Top 20 Most Instagrammable spots in Illinois”, being inducted into the “Illinois Made” program by Enjoy Illinois, and “Best Place for Coffee”, three years running with the Southern Illinoisan.
